The Executive Chairman of Badagry Local Government Area, Hon. Onilude Olusegun Adeniran, has commended the Nigeria Armed Forces for their professionalism-oriented operational performances, effective assistance and valuable help to the local population in securing lives and properties and protecting Nigeria’s territorial integrity.
Hon. Onilude also specifically commended the engineering regiments of the Nigeria Army for facilitating the use of modern technology in the fight against insurgency, banditry and combating crimes. The council boss stated this when he hosted in audience the newly deployed Commanding officer of the 15 Field Engineer Regiment, Badagry, Lt. Col. S. L Lawan who paid courtesy visit the council secretariat yesterday.
Hon. Onilude while congratulating the newly deployed Commanding Officer in his remarks stated that as the world is evolving so is the fight against crimes, insurgency, banditry etc is taking new dimensions.
“Let me foremost congratulate you on your appointment and also welcome you the beautiful and peaceful Badagry local government. Like your predecessors, I am very certain that you will enjoy your stay here. Let me also commend the tenacity, selfless sacrifices and commitment to restoring and maintaining law, peace, order and security in various part of the country. We are in a time when we must do everything humanly possible to secure lives and properties. And I assure you can count on the support of my administration always”.
In his response, Lt. Col. S. L Lawan thanked the council boss for the warm welcome. Lt. Col. Lawan stated that growth and development is only possible when there is peace, order and security of lives and properties. He said he is committed to preserving the mutual relationship between his men and the host communities and also assured the council boss that his men will act continue to act professionally in discharging their duties.
