Lagos Mainland and environs erupted in wild jubilation upon the declaration of the result of the APC State House of Assembly Primary Election by the Returning Electoral Officer today in Yaba, Lagos.
It was expected to be a keenly contested battle between the lawmaker currently representing Lagos Mainland II Constituency in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Moshood Olanrewaju Oshun, Hon Adetayo Adekintan Oyemade popularly known as Mashara, and Mr. Sunday Sawyer.
At the end of the exercise today, Hon Adetayo Adekintan Oyemade was declared as the winner of the APC State Assembly Primary election for Lagos Mainland Constituency II and returned elected as the candidate to fly the APC flag at the forthcoming Lagos State House of Assembly election.
Hon Adetayo Adekintan Oyemade recorded a landslide victory to defeat his closest challenger Mr. Sunday Sawyer, while the incumbent Honourable Member representing the constituency, Hon. Moshood Olanrewaju Oshun, came a very distant third on the election result log.
A highly elated Hon Oyemade in a short address to his teeming supporters thanked them for their huge support and sacrifices. He promised to offer the Mainlanders quality representation while equally assuring to carry everyone along once he is elected eventually at the forthcoming general election.
