Hon Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba Takes Over As National Chairman Of Association Of LG Vice Chairmen

The Executive Vice Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government Area, Lagos State, Hon Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba, has officially taken over as the National Chairman of the Association of Vice Chairmen of Local Government Areas in Nigeria from the outgoing National Chairman, Hon Lawrence Onuchukwu.

The event, which attracted respected members from across the nation, took place on Friday 24th June, 2022, at NICON Luxury Hotel, FCT, Abuja.

At the 2-pronged ceremony, the outgoing National Chairman, Hon Lawrence Onuchukwu, handed over the baton of leadership of the Association to Aarebirin Hon Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba, who in turn took the oath of office as supervised by the Legal Adviser.

In her remarks, after being duly sworn in as the new National Chairman of the noble association, Hon Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba said, “I am thankful and grateful for God’s Great Grace at the opportunity to serve at a higher level as National Chairman, Association of Local Government Vice Chairman of Nigeria and Executive Vice Chairman of Ikorodu LGA”.

“24h of June, 2022, wll constantly remind me of God’s ultimate love, Great Grace, unending blessings and unwavering favour upon my life. On this day, what am I thankful and grateful for?
I am thankful and grateful for my wonderful quintessential Leaders, Fathers, Mothers, Mentors, who have entrusted me with so much and opportunity to serve my people. This trust I will never take for granted. My promise is to give the very best at all times to the service to God and Humanity.”

“I am thankful and grateful for the zeal and will to serve, despite all odds.I am thankful and thankful to my Family, Honourable associates, friends and most importantly, the good and great people of Ikorodu and Nigeria at large.”

“I am thankful for the will to embrace a life of service, possess a heart of compassion and to see a setback as an avenue for better things to come.”

“I have also resolved to continue to live a life of service, to not be so hard on myself (my heart is in the right place, and I always mean well), to give without expectations, to work conscientiously, selflessly and tirelessly, like no one is watching. So help me God! Amen” she concluded.
