The Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Lagos State, Hon. Segun Odunmbaku, has flagged off the construction of a befitting Mosque, Chapel and Customary Court within the Secretariat Complex.
The low-key groundbreaking ceremony, held at the Council Secretariat, marked the beginning of a landmark project aimed at enhancing the welfare and spiritual well-being of council staff and residents.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Odunmbaku emphasized the importance of providing inclusive facilities that cater to the diverse religious and judicial needs of the community.
According to the Council Chairman, the project is part of his administration’s commitment to fostering harmony and promoting social justice within the Ojodu LCDA.
He noted that the Mosque and Chapel would serve as places of worship for Muslim and Christian staff members, while the Customary Court which is being reconstructed from the structures of the former Chapel would facilitate the resolution of community disputes and legal matters.
Hon. Odunmbaku reiterated his dedication to infrastructural development and community well-being, assuring residents that the project would be completed in record time. Community stakeholders and council staff have expressed their appreciation to the Council Chairman for the initiative, commending his administration’s efforts to enhance the Secretariat’s facilities and improve it’s environment.
