The Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Lagos State, Hon Segun David Odunmbaku, understanding the significance of this sacred month and cognisance of his commitment to the welfare of residents yesterday organized a thought-provoking Ramadan Lecture and Iftar Programme for Ojodu residents.
The event, held at the Akiode Eid Ground, witnessed an overwhelming turnout of residents, community leaders, religious scholars, and political party stalwarts as attendees gathered to enrich their understanding of Islamic teachings, promote interfaith dialogue and share in the blessings of Ramadan.
The Ramadan Lecture, delivered by the eminent Imam, Sulayman Bayonle Hussain, explored various aspects of one’s spiritual journey and practical ways to live a fulfilling life based on Islamic principles. The thought-provoking lecture emphasized the values of love, compassion, unity and the importance of brotherhood.
The Council Chairman expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support and participation of residents, community leaders, and religious scholars. He emphasized the commitment of his administration towards unity, peaceful coexistence, and fostering a sense of communal harmony within Ojodu LCDA.
He further assured residents that the distribution of free palliatives and discounted food prices would continue and implored the people to have patience and pray for government at all levels as the economic reforms are yielding positive outcomes while listing the social impactful policies of his administration and many more in the pipeline.
