Hosts For 2020 Anambra Media Excellence Awards Unveiled

As preparations heighten ahead of the 2020 edition of the Anambra Media Excellence Awards, the organisers have unveiled the hosts for the prestigious event. 

According to a press statement issued yesterday by the Association of Digital Media Core Advocates ADMCA, while Nonye Nwokoye will host the main event, the red carpet session will be hosted by Ify Okoye. 

Nonye Nwokoye, an award-winning broadcast journalist, presently works with the Anambra Broadcasting Service ABS and is renowned as a celebrity compere in the South East, while Ify Okoye, another broadcast journalist is the producer of ‘Ndigbo Diaspora Affairs Show’.

With remarkable experience in red carpet hosting, Ify has been charged to enliven the session which will be beamed live on some terrestrial TV stations and social media amidst ‘champagne sips and bites’.
The statement also announced there will be a paper presentation by Dr. Mbalisi Chinedu on the topic: ‘Media in the Age of Crime, Cyber-propaganda and Fake News: Challenges and Prospects’.

In its second edition, the Anambra Media Excellence Award provides the platform to honour and recognise personalities and programmes that are positively influencing perceptions in the Anambra media landscape, largely noted as one of the most vibrant in Nigeria.
The event will hold on November 29, 2020 at the elegant Main Auditorium of Marble Arch Hotel, Awka, Anambra State, where awards will be up for grabs across platforms like radio, television and social media.


According to the National President of ADMCA, Dr. Harris Chuma, “Recognition is a powerful way for our society to continue to move forward, even when it feels like it’s at a standstill. And not only does it help society and our industry, it helps us as people. It feels good to be recognised for our hard work and contributions. It helps us stay positive, engaged, and motivated.”
