It was a rough and tough day for the Area Commander, Area J, Ajah, ACP Olugbemi Gbolahan, who at the point of duty sustained a severe injury on his leg when one of the angry protesters almost killed him but only succeeded in hitting him with a car on his leg in Ajah area of Lagos on Tuesday, 13th October, 2020.
According to the Lagos State Police Spokesman, SP Muyiwa Adejobi, the protester
was driving recklessly when he ran over him.
The Area Commander was said to be personally on the ground to monitor and
provide security for the protesters while the said protester willfully drove
and hit him with the car.
The Area Commander is presently receiving treatment at a hospital in Ajah area
of Lagos State.
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police has urge protesters to be calm and
orderly in the State.
According to the CP, the Lagos Command will not be distracted.
“Our officers will not be distracted from doing the right things at all times”
he said.
