Police operatives from the Edo State Command have arrested an 18-year old boy, Kingsley Paul, for allegedly stabbing his 38-year old lover to death during sex romp in a hotel.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at the Ekehuan Barracks in Benin area of the State, where the hotel is located.
The suspect, Paul, was among other suspects arrested and paraded by the Command at the State Headquarters in Benin City for committing various crimes ranging from murder, kidnapping and others.
This was confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Moses Joel Yamu, who said that the suspect is in Police custody undergoing interrogation over the alleged murder.
The image maker explained that the suspect took the victim to the hotel and stabbed her to death during a squabble over an undisclosed matter in the hotel.
He said the suspect has already made confessional statements over the alleged murder and stated that the suspect said he and his lover agreed on a fee of N2,000, which he paid to her.
The cause of the quarel was not disclosed as the suspect had told the Police that the woman had already taken off her clothes when he stabbed her to death. The suspect, Paul, also admitted that there was no quarrel between them but he just suddenly took out his knife and stabbed her to death, which the Police are still investigating.
The PPRO said that the suspect will be charged before the Court for murder under the Criminal Laws of the State but that will be after the conclusion of investigations by the Police.
