It was double jeopardy for a 14-year old girl, who was raped by her 28-year old captor, Samuel Ani and it resulted into the victim being impregnated by the captor in Ogun State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the Police operatives from the Ogun State Command have arrested Ani for defilement of the victim.
The incident happened at Sagamu area of the State.
This was confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Omolola Odutola, who disclosed that the suspect, Ani, was caught having canal knowledge of the victim at about 2pm. It was later discovered that it was not the first time and that he had already impregnated her.
Odutola stated that the incident was reported to the Command by the victim’s father and the suspect during interrogation confessed to the crime..

“The father, known only as Paul, had approached the division to report the crime suspect committed against his daughter. The suspect allegedly defiled the minor and is also accused of impregnating her. The 28-year-old suspect had been arrested and detained by the command. The matter will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department once the preliminary investigation is completed” Odutola said.
Odutola also disclosed that the child had been taken to the hospital for medical examination.
The Police stated that the suspect will be charged before the Court but did not state what will happen to the pregnancy.
