A 42-year old housewife, Mrs. Zipporah Emeka, has landed in trouble in Lagos State for allegedly conspiring with native doctors, who prepare love charms, which she used to hypnotize her husband, Emeka Stephen and swindled him N1.5m.

According to the Police, the housewife, Zipporah, contacted the native doctors and asked them to prepare the charms, which she used to hypnotize her husband, Stephen and obtain money from him.
They agreed on a certain amount of money and prepared the fetish charms and gave to her with the instruction to prepare food and put inside then serve to the husband to eat and that whatever she tells him, he would do.
According to Zipporah, the charms worked perfectly because after her husband ate the food she had prepared with it, she instructed him to bring the said money and he complied with easy without asking unnecessary questions.
However,  trouble started after Zipporah failed to fulfill her own part of the bargain with the native doctors and it was leaked. Her husband regained his senses and then a wrote a petition against his wife and the native doctors for their criminal conduct by obtaining the money from him.
During interrogation, the housewife, Zipporah, admitted to have done so and mentioned the two doctors as her co-conspirators, who prepared the fetish charms, which she used to hypnotize her husband and obtained the money from him.
The Police found them culpable and subsequently charged them before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.
They pleaded not guilty when they were arraigned.
The prosecutor, Supol Akeem Raji, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since they pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that they actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. B.O. Osunsanmi, granted them bail and ordered their remand in the Correctional Centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when they will perfect their bail conditions while the matter was adjourned for mention.
