A 36-year old man, Jaafa Adamu, has landed in trouble in Adamawa State for allegedly acting as an armed robber by wearing a face mask and forcefully engaging his neighbour’s 23-year old wife in sex romp.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Angwan Diocese Kala’a in Hong Local Government Area of the State, where they reside.
The suspect, Adamu, allegedly instilled fear in the victim, who was alone in the apartment and she allowed him in order to save her life that night.
However, while in the act, the suspect’s face mask fell down. The victim recognized him as their neighbour and he fled but by then he had already satisfied himself.
When the victim’s husband returned from work, she told him what happened at night when he was not around. She narrated how a robber invaded their house, forcefully slept with her and while the robber was having sex with her, the face mask fell off and she recognized that it was their neighbour, Adamu, that was the purported robber.
The husband reported the matter to the Police, who trailed, eventually arrested Adamu and detained him for interrogation over his alleged conduct.
This was confirmed in Yola by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, SP Suleiman Yahaya-Nguroje, who said that the suspect was in custody undergoing interrogation over his alleged conduct.
SP Yahaya-Nguroje said that the suspect was arrested on 15th September, 2023 and the Police are currently investigating the matter. He said that the suspect will be prosecuted for statutory rape under the Criminal Law of the State, which attracts several years of imprisonment but that will be after the conclusion of investigations by the Police.
