A renowned Medical Doctor and CEO of Banke Hospital in Ayobo, Lagos, Dr Farajimakin Olugbenga, has been swindled to the tune of N2.8m by the father of his auxiliary nurse, Mariam Adamu, 23, in order to convince her to get married to him but it failed woefully.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the nurse, Mariam, realized that Dr Olugbenga had enticed her father with money and she absconded. She went to further her education and later informed both her father and Dr Olugbenga that she was not interested in the marriage plans because Olugbenga had a wife, who is abroad with his children.

Her action was said to have angered Dr Olugbenga and he went to Mariam’s father, Adamu Yau Zakari, alleged that he had conspired to defraud him and demanded for the refund of all the money he gave him to convince his daughter, Mariam.

However,  Zakari informed Olugbenga that he tried all he could to convince his daughter, Mariam, to get married to him but it did not work. He reminded him that all  the money he gave to him were used to woe her before Mariam  disappointed both of them and absconded without even informing him.

The matter was reported to the Police at Ipaja Division and Zakari was alleged to have obtained the money in question under the false pretence of getting his daughter, Maria, which was false.

Mariam’s father, Zakaria, was arrested and detained at the station for interrogation over his alleged conduct. And after the interrogation, the Police found him culpable and charged him before the Ejigbo Magistrate Court for the alleged offence.

The charges read:

The prosecutor,  Inspector Simeon Njue, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.
