How Police Busted 2 Members Of “One Chance Robbery” Syndicate During Operation

Police operatives from the Oracle Section of the Zone 2 Command Headquarters in Onikan, Lagos, have busted two men, who are members of”One chance” robbery syndicate, Igwe Obi, 44 and Solomon Adebayo,33 over their activities in Lagos axis for the past two years during coordinated operations.
P.M.EXPRESS reports as was disclosed by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tunni Umma Ayuba, of Zone 2 Command in Lagos.
The image maker stated that based on intelligence gathered by the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 2 Command Headquarters, Onikan, Lagos, on the criminal activities of the suspects, Obi and Adebayo, they were arrested during an operation.
He stated that the two members of the robbery syndicate operates along Bonny Camp/Ajah route of Lagos before a team of operatives attached to Zonal Oracle Section was deployed to discretely investigate and apprehend the suspected robbers.
“The suspected robbers Igwe Obi and Solomon Adebayo were arrested at Ijora Badia Bridge and upon questioning, confessed to being involved in several “one chance” robbery operations along Bonny Camp/Ajah route of Lagos; robbing unsuspecting passengers of their mobile phones, monies and other valuables while disguising as driver and conductor.”
“They further confessed to have been into this crime for over a period of 2 years and have been operating with commercial buses along Bonny Cantonment/Ajah Axis of Lagos. The suspects stated that the mobile phones stolen from their victims are later taken to Ajegunle Area of Lagos where they are sold to receivers.”
“Investigation is ongoing and all efforts intensified to arrest other members of the syndicate. Suspects will be charged to court upon completion of investigations.”
“Members of the public are hereby advised to be more vigilant and remain calm as the Zone is working assiduously to ensure a seamless yuletide.”
SP Ayuba stated that the suspects will be charged before the Court for their alleged criminal conduct but that will be after the conclusion of investigations by the Police.
