How Police Busted 7 Suspected Cult Leaders During Meeting

It was the end of the day for seven suspected secret cult leaders, Black axe, a.k.a Aiye and Supreme Eiye Confraternity as Police busted them while they were having meetings at different locations in the same area in Lagos State.

 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the Police operatives arrested the suspects at Igbo-Ologun area of Lagos while they were having meeting unknown to them that the Police have gathered intelligence over their activities in the area.

 

The leaders of Eiye Confraternity arrested were Animashaun Hassan, 36 and Adeniyi Michael, 35 while five leaders of the Black Axe included Lawal Muftan, 43, Afeare Agarie,37, Danladi Gabriel, 26, Abiodun Olawale, 31 and Sule Kashetu, 26.

 

They were consequently detained at the Lagos State Police Command headquarters for interrogation. And while there, they confessed to belonging to secret cults and were found culpable.

 

They were charged before the Ogba Magistrate Court for belonging to unlawful secret cult proscribed by the law under the Criminal Laws of the State.

 

However, they pleaded not guilty.

 

The prosecutor, Supol Akeem Raji, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since they pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that they actually committed the alleged offence.

 

The Presiding Magistrate Mrs. B.O. Osunsanmi, granted them bail with sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.

 

The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendants were remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when they will perfect their bail conditions.
