How Police Inspector Raped Neighbour On His Matrimonial Bed

Facts have emerged on how a married Police Inspector attached to Agbado Division, Lagos State Command, Adelakun Amubieya, allegedly raped his neighbour, an 18-year old undergraduate, on his matrimonial bed.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Abesan Estate, Ipaja area of Lagos, where Amubieya resides with the victim’s parents.

The victim fell into his trap after he and his wife promised to teach her how to make money with an application on her mobile phone. She went to the couple’s apartment on 15th November, 2020, and met the officer, Amubieya, alone.
The Police Inspector allegedly forced her into the bedroom and raped her when his wife and children had gone to Church.

Narrating her ordeal, she said, “Sometime in October, I came downstairs to receive a call due to bad network and I overheard the Policeman and his wife talking about something but I didn’t pay attention”.

“When I was done with the call, his wife said their discussion was about a betting site and all I needed to do was to drop my details and I would be receiving N 2 ,000 every three days . They said I must be 18 to play. I told them that I would return on Friday, November 13, when I would have clocked 18.”

The victim said after she returned from Church on the fateful Sunday, she went to the couple’s apartment.

“I sat by the edge of the chair next to the door, while he sat on the chair near his room. He said he just woke up from sleep and I should come back later. I was about leaving when he called me back and asked what the time was. I told him it was 1.42 pm; he said his wife would be back by 3pm. That was when I knew his family was not around. I stood up to leave and he told me to hug him, but I declined. He hugged me forcefully and dragged me into the room. He told me to lie on the bed, but I refused. He then pushed me to the bed and started kissing and fingering me.”

“I struggled to get him off, but he held my legs and had sex with me. I begged him to stop but he didn’t answer me. I could not shout because I was scared of what he could do to me. He is a Policeman and may have a gun in the house. Besides, people were making noise outside, so no one would hear me.”

“I told him to get a condom so he could get off me and I could look for what to do but he didn’t answer me,” she added.

The matter was reported to the Police at Ipaja Division led by the Divisional Police Officer, CSP Tokunbo Aboniwonda, who ordered for his arrest and later transferred him to the Gender Section of the Command for investigation.

P.M.EXPRESS confirmed that Inspector Amubieya is currently undergoing interrogation at the Command over the conduct and may likely be dismissed from the Police if he is found culpable and will be charged before the Court for the alleged offence.
