How Stolen 2-Month Old Baby Was Rescued With Pastor & 4 Others Arrested For Complicity

Police operatives from the Lagos State Command have rescued a two-month old baby stolen from the mother and arrested five suspects including a Pastor allegedly involved in the child trafficking.
P.M.EXPRESS reports as was disclosed by the Police Public Relations Officer,  SP Benjamin Hundeyin who confirmed the arrest and detention of the suspects undergoing interrogation over their alleged conduct.
He explained that the Police detectives from Oko-oba Division have successfully apprehended several individuals involved in a child trafficking operation following a report from the mother of a two-month old missing boy.
He stated, “The mother of the missing child reported that one Gloria Sunday ‘f’, absconded with her son to an unknown destination on 11th July, 2024”.
Thus,  detectives swung into action which led to the arrest of Gloria Sunday, whom during interrogation confessed selling the baby to one Pastor Peter Udoh for N500,000
Consequently, Pastor Udoh was trailed and subsequently arrested in Ikene town, Ogun State and detained for interrogation.
During interrogation, he admitted to have bought the baby and sold the child for ₦1. 450m to one Loretta Nelson ‘f’, who was also apprehended in FESTAC Town, Lagos.
She admitted and confessed to have as well bought the baby for ₦2. 350m, which she sold to another buyer.
The Police image maker stated that further investigations led to the arrest of the final buyers of the baby, Mr. and Mrs. James Uwam, during the naming ceremony of the stolen child.
The baby was rescued while the suspects were arrested and detained for interrogation over their alleged conduct. They also admitted to have bought the baby because they were in need of a child.
The PPRO stated that all the suspects are undergoing interrogation over their various roles in the transaction, stealing,  selling and buying of the baby.
He stated that the suspects will be charged before the Court for the alleged offence, which attracts several years of imprisonment if they are tried and found guilty but that will be after the conclusion of investigations by the Police.
