A school proprietor, Mrs. Ngozi Onuekwusi Odebeatu, of Tender Links School, located at Plot 468b Oguejiofor Street, opposite Federal Dental School, Trans Ekulu, Enugu State, was said to have employed a suspected lesbian teacher, Nnenna Favour Okoro, who defiled a 3-year old pupil inside the school.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the 43-year old Favour Okoro has been arrested and charged over the alleged dastardly act inside the school.
The suspect was arrested by operatives from the Abakpa Police Division in Nike area of Enugu State led by the DPO, Fedrick Azubuike and transferred to the SCID for further investigation.
After rounds of interrogation, Nnenna Favour Okoro was found culpable and consequently charged before the Court for using her finger to penetrate the pupil’s private part.
Since the ugly incident took place, the pupil had been bleeding from her private part due to injury she sustained during the act.
Narrating what happened, the mother of the victim stated that it started on 14th November, 2023, when the school bus took her daughter to the school and she waited as they usually bring her back home around 2.30 pm but on that day, she waited and started calling the school management to know what happened since they had not brought her home.
“I later called the school driver, he told me that the school bus broke down and they were trying to repair it and assured me that they will bring my daughter home. However, I waited till 6pm but they did not bring her.
“When they eventually brought her and she was received by my nanny, I noticed that my daughter was weak and her temperature was high. I assumed that it was stress on that day and asked her to go and take her bath. She requested that she wants to go to toilet and while she was using the small bucket, I noticed that she was going through pain and I went to find out what was happening to her. I checked the bucket and it was filled with blood. I took her, asked what happened and she revealed that it was her teacher, Nnenna Favour Okoro, that touched her and promised to buy her ice cream and cake” the pupil’s mother stated.
The embittered mother narrated that she rushed the victim to the hospital, where she was treated and later went to the Police to report what happened. The Police visited the school to identify the suspect.
She revealed that when they got to the school, the owner of the school, Mrs. Odebeatu, denied that they don’t have any teacher who can do such and started blaming the woman as her mother claiming that she was careless on the victim to have exposed the victim where she was molested and not in her school.
However, during investigation, the Police discovered that it was Nnenna Okoro that actually molested the pupil and the school management was covering her. Consequently, the school was temporarily shut while the investigation is ongoing.
The suspect, Nnenna favour Okoro, has been arraigned before the Court and remanded in custody while the matter was adjourned till 13th December, 2023, for further hearing on the matter.
