A man, Benjamin Onyeocha, has been arrested in Lagos State for allegedly battering his wife, Nkechi, after he was caught engaging their 19-month old baby in sex.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Ibiteye Street, Ilupeju area of Lagos State, where they reside.
While the alleged defilement of the innocent baby was still on, he went on rampage and induced a 17-year old girl with alcoholic drink, she fell asleep and he also engaged her sex.
The matter was reported to the Police at Ilupeju Division; he was arrested and detained at the station for interrogation over the conduct.
During interrogation, he confessed that he did not know what came over him. But that did not save him as he was found culpable for the alleged offence.
He was subsequently charged before the Ogba Magistrates Court for assault on his wife and defilement of the victims.
When he was arraigned however, the Court did not take his plea following a motion moved by the prosecutor,
Inspector Lucky Ihiehie, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.A. Layinka, ordered his remand in Correctional Centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when the DPP’s report will be ready and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP.
The matter was adjourned pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
