A 32-year old man, Ejiofor Udeze, has walked himself in serious trouble in
Lagos after he allegedly lured a 13-year old girl into his apartment and sucked
her breasts in the process.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that during the alleged sucking, the suspect, Udeze, touched her private part, both of them became aroused and he engaged her in sex not minding her age.
The incident happened at Taiwo Ajala Street, New Oko-Oba area of Lagos, where they reside.
He reportedly confessed to the Police that both of them lost control when he started touching her private parts including her bum and he penetrated her and did not realize that she was still a minor.The action has landed him in Police net.
It was gathered that when they were caught, the victim alleged that she was lured in the act without her consent after he touched her private parts.
Having been found culpable, the Police charged him
before the Ogba Magistrates Court for statutory rape which attracts several
years of imprisonment if he is tried and found guilty for alleged offence.
When he was brought before the Court, he was asked to be remanded in prison
custody following the motion by the prosecutor, Supol Benson Emerhi, who asked
the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O Sule-Amzat, ordered him to be remanded in
prison custody without an option of bail.
The Court also directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to the DPP
for advice while the defendant will remain in prison custody pending the availability
of the report from the DPP. The matter was adjourned till 14th May, 2020.
