I Remain Committed To Fulfilling The Promises On My Legislative Agenda, Ekwunife Says

The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife, PhD, has noted that she has fulfilled many promises on her legislative agenda. She reiterated that her resolve to spread infrastructure and economic development in the zone remains unwavering.

Ekwunife, who spoke on Saturday, January 29, during the tour of inspection of ongoing road project in Enugwu-Ukwu, assured constituents of more dividends of democracy. She noted that she would through deliberate and robust legislative engagements meet the expectations of her people.

The Federal lawmaker said that the ongoing projects across the 7 LGAs in the zone was part of her agenda aimed to improve road infrastructure in the state. The road inspected was Uruekwo-Abana Road, Enwugu-Ukwu community, Njikoka LGA.

The Chairman Senate Committee on Science Technology and Innovation was represented by a delegation of her project team led by Anambra state former Chairman of ASUBEB, Associate-Professor Rose Nwankwo. In her remarks, Dr Nwankwo urged the people of Anambra Central to continue to support the A-grade lawmaker in her efforts to provide the necessary ambience that would improve the quality of lives of the people of the zone.

While commending the Senator, a community leader of Enwugu-Ukwu, Mr. Augustine Chinonso Ofoedu described Ekwunife as a lawmaker who deserves to be rewarded with another mandate come 2023, adding that he is happy with the pace of the project.

Mr. Ofoedu promised that constituents would continue to stand by Ekwunife in her political ambitions.

In their separate remarks, Master Chidera Oraegbunam and Mrs. Chimezie Onwe said that the road had worn a new look through Ekwunife’s legislative efforts. They noted that they were delighted by the quality of the work and pledged their support as the lawmaker discharges her duties on the floor of the senate.

Earlier, the site manager of the project, Engr. Nonso Ogbunude, assured timely completion of the road infrastructure project.
