The students body also informed him of his appointment as a national patron in recognition of his drive towards repositioning the agency during a courtesy call on him at the commission’s headquarters in Abuja.
Leading the delegation was NACOS national president, Chihurumnanya Nwanevu who explained that the association, with a membership of 500,000 students nationwide, was seeking a partnership that will be favourable to the generality of its members.
He also solicited support for the forthcoming national convention in commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the association.
Responding, Dr Abdullahi said the commission would be favourably disposed to working with students and ICT professionals in the area of research that has to do with the energy sector.
He also spoke on the possibility of scholarship for deserving students based on the recommendation of the association as well as employment opportunities for exceptional graduates.
