The entire Nnewi and environs stood still days ago as the Transition Chairman of Idemili South Local Government Area in Anambra State, Hon.(Mrs) Amaka Obi (Iyom Idemili), buried her father, Comrade Peter Nkachukwu Ubah, in a grand style.
Iyom Idemili, who was the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Willie Obiano, convener of Women Initiatives for Greater Anambra (WIGA), current Transition Chairman of Idemili South and member of JAAC, buried her loving father at Umuanuka, Otolo Nnewi.
“We all are going to miss my loving father, but God knows the best.
May the soul of my father and all the departed continue to rest in peace, Amen!” she concluded.
Dignitaries at the ceremony were the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Soludo, Hon. Commissioner Collins Nwabunwanne, APGA candidate for House of Representatives, Idemili North and South Federal Constituency, Hon. Ikenna Iyiegbu(Onyechimelu’eze), and his wife, Mrs. Oluchi Iyiegbu, Chief (Dr.) Obinna Iyiegbu (Obi Cubana), former Special Adviser to Governor Willie Obiano, Barrister Ifeatu Obi-Okoye(Igiligi), Hon. Chijioke Agbanyim, State and Local Government Excos, APGA candidate for State House of Assembly, Idemili South Barrister Ebuka Igwe(Ugosinachi), H.R.M. Igwe Engr.
