The Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili South Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs. Amaka Obi (Iyom Idemili) has inspected the rehabilitation of Nnobi and Oba erosion gully and commended Governor Charles Soludo for quick intervention.
While inspecting the ongoing projects, Hon. Amaka Obi said that relief has come for residents of Nnobi and Oba as Anambra State Government has embarked on the control of the gully erosion in the area, stating that it will alleviate the suffering of the people and commuters.
Hon. Amaka Obi noted that Governor Charles Soludo awarded Nnobi-Nkpor Federal Road and Oba-Owerri Federal Road to Infrastructure Development Construction Company and Benejaf International Limited when he inspected the roads few weeks ago.
The Council boss, who was accompanied by the deputy Transition Committee Chairman, Hon. Ebuka Smart Nriama, further appealed to residents of the two communities to cooperate with the contractors handling the projects to enable them carry out their duties effectively for the benefit of the residents in the long run and also take advantage of Professor Charles Soludo’s kind gestures to ensure longevity of the roads.
In appreciation, the President General of Oba, Sir Osita Ubadi, lauded Governor Charles Soludo for listening to the plight of the people, stating that people of Oba are strongly behind Anambra State Government.
Present during the Inspection were the President General of Oba community, Sir Osita Ifedili Ubadi KSC, the Chairman of all the ward Chairmen in the council area, Ifeanyi Ekwutemma Aguh, Ward Councillors and many others.
