Igbo Buru Otu Splashes Millions Of Naira Gifts Items To Members To Mark End Of The Year

Members of Igbo Buru Otu sociocultural association, founded by the President,  Eze Chika Nwokedi, were home smiling at the weekend as the association splashed multi million Naira gifts to members to mark end of the year with a raffle draw in Lagos State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the event took place on Saturday at the palace of Eze Chika Nwokedi in Ijegun area of Lagos, where the members, friends, wellwishers and members of the press converged to mark the end of the year and witness the raffle draws organized by the association.
During the occassion, some members of the association, who had performed creditably well in various capacities, were given honour and awards for their commitment to the progress of Ndigbo Buru Otu over the years.
Some of the recipients of the award included Barrister Peter Nnajiego, Rev. Dr Moses Okwuosa, Ugoeze (Lolo) Chika Nwokedi, Chief Mrs. Ada Odili, who received a refrigerator for her outstanding performance in the group including Chief Ogbuka.
Others included Chief Godwin Anaeme,  Chief Chika Okeoma, Barr. Mrs. George and many others, who received various  items including bags of rice, wrist watches, bedsheets and branded T-shirts with the inscription of Eze Chika Nwokedi.
The climax of the the event was the raffle draw, which was transparent and won by both members and non members of the association. And they were immediately contacted to receive what they had won in the presence of all at the event.
The winner of a deep freezer, Mrs. Anderlin Echenim, expressed both shock and joy for winning the item. She was shocked after she was called on phone and informed that she had won the item without being a member of the group and at the same time happy that she won it when her fridge had spoiled in her shop and she needed to buy one.
Also at the event,  Mr. Obi Tochukwu was crowned as the Mayor of Igbo Buru Otu Association as well as Lolo Ogbuka as the Queen of the group having won the majority votes from members to occupy the positions for one year.
Speaking at the event, Eze Nwokedi stated that this year’s event was unique and organized specifically to celebrate members of the association, who have worked tirelessly to ensure that the association was moving forward for over 8 years it was formed.
He stated  that he was happy seeing the members smiling and going home with different gift items as motivation to encourage them to do more for the progess of the group.
Eze Nwokedi noted that it was not easy to have kept the association alive and healthy, stating that he was able to achieve that by the grace of God and support from the members who reposed confidence in him.
He explained that more packages will be coming by next year and expressed his passion for giving and that he will continue to give and put smiles on the faces of people especially the less privileged in the society including the widows. And he said he would empower 170 widows on 14th December, 2023, at his palace.
