The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, has received commendations from the Igbo Community for always identifying with the Igbo in the State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the commendations came from the Igbo traditional ruler in Lagos State popularly known as Ezendigbo, Eze Christian Nwachukwu, in statement at the Igbo Community Centre in Okota, Lagos.
Eze Nwachukwu stated this on the heels of Obasa’s visit during the end of the year party organised by the Coordinator, Igbo APC in Agege hosted by one Chief Solomon Chukwu.
He noted he has made many Igbo friends, in whom he had absolute confidence and trust, which he has demonstrated over the years and he was not relenting in making more friends from Igbo people.
Nwachukwu noted that such great virtue has shown that Obasa is a detribalized person and indeed believed that all humans are one despite where one comes from.He thanked him and urged him to continue to show such leadership quality, which will enhance unity in the society.
Eze Nwachukwu also commended Obasa for providing leadership in the Lagos State Assembly, which has stabilized governance in the State as a bridge builder between the three arms of government; the Executive, Judiciary and Legislature.
He prayed that God will continue to bless Obasa while adding that the Igbo in Lagos State will continue to identify with him by paying visits and equally inviting him to participate in Igbo activities in future where the Igbo sons and daughters will honour him.
