The crisis rocking the Igbo Community in APC, Lagos State, may have come to an end following the reconciliation meeting held to bring the warring factions together by the leaders.

P.M.EXPRESS confirmed that the two factions, one led by Chief Joe Igbokwe and the other by Hon. Jude Idimogu, met and have resolved to work together in the interest of the Igbo and APC in the State.

The peace meeting may have worked as they agreed and subsequently set up 5-man committee, which will work and liaise with the Lagos State Government and APC in Lagos.
Those in the committee included Chief Joe Igbokwe, Hon.Jude Idimogu, Ezendigbo, Lagos State, Eze Christian Nwachukwu, Eze Uche Dimgba and President of Ohanaeze, Chief Solomon Ogbonna.

The parties resolved to forgive and forget their differences; agreed to work together in order to unite the Igbo community in APC and join hands with other ethnic groups in the State to continue to build the party.

This was confirmed by the Ezendigbo and Chairman of ethnic traditional rulers, Lagos State, Eze Nwachukwu, who disclosed that the Igbo in APC are now one and have reconciled their differences.

“Yes, we have reconciled. The meeting was frank, the grievances among us were addressed and we resolved to work together in the interest of the Igbo in Lagos State. The leaders have also agreed to work together and to harmonize the State Exco, Local Government and Ward levels balancing both parties” Nwachukwu stated.

Eze Nwachukwu enjoined the Igbo to continue to support the APC, Lagos State Government, live in peace with other ethnic groups in the State and look forward to greater things in the future from the Party and State Government.
He urged the Igbo sons and daughters to embrace the good process pending when the final harmonisation is completed.

There has been reactions over the peace accord by the parties involved from the Igbo residents in the State. Some said it was a good development for the interest of the Igbo while others believed the fight, even though unnecessary, eventually brought the Igbo together to work for common interest.
