Igbo Community Leaders Thank Tinubu, Sanwo-Olu Over Apex leader

Igbo Community leaders in Lagos State have thanked the National Leader of the APC, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the party leaders in the State for confirming Hon. Jude Idimogu as the Igbo Apex leader in APC.

P.M.EXPRESS reports as was disclosed by the Eze Ndigbo and Chairman of ethnic traditional rulers in Lagos State, Eze Christian C. Nwachukwu.

Eze Nwachukwu noted that with the confirmation of Hon. Idimogu as the Apex Leader, it has changed the narrative of Ndigbo in Lagos as many Igbo in Lagos have started identifying with the APC and joining in various Wards and Local Government Areas in the State.

“APC will see the impact because Hon. Idimogu is trusted by Igbo sons and daughters and he has already started mobilizing the Igbo from the Wards and Local Government areas in the State and has been accepted by all” Eze Nwachukwu said.

Nwachukwu stated that since the Governor confirmed Hon. Idimogu as the Apex leader, the Igbo in the opposition parties in the State have indicated interest to join the APC to bridge the gab of suspicion that the Igbo in the State do not support the ruling party in the State.
“The Igbo are now ready to work with other ethnic groups in the State to work for the APC for 2023 election” he said.

He commended Hon. Idimogu for spending his resources going round the Wards and Local Governments mobilizing the Igbo for APC and directed all the Igbo in the State to follow Hon. Idimogu as the leader, who will protect the interest of Igbo in Lagos State.

Nwachukwu also thanked the wife of the National Leader,  Senator Mrs. Tinubu for her support for the Igbo in the State and recalled that she was the person who commissioned the Igbo community centre in Okota years back and since then, she has been supporting the Igbo cause in the State. He thanked the party leaders in the State and reiterated the commitment of the Igbo to work with the party.

Governor Sanwo-Olu recently confirmed Hon. Idimogu as the Igbo Apex leader in APC and stated that the government will be dealing with him on affairs concerning the Igbo in the State.
