There is a bit of good news for Manchester United fans concerning Nigerian star, Odion Ighalo’s deal.
The Nigerian striker’s loan deal with Man United is set to expire next week and the club have failed to reach an agreement with his parent club Shanghai Shenhua FC, according to reports.
Ighalo’s agent, Ladi Salami, has claimed that the 30-year-old striker is “very close” to an agreement with Manchester United.
This will come as good news for United fans who are hoping the former Watford striker extends his deal with their club.
Red Devil’s manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also confirmed on Wednesday that they are already in talks over a deal to keep Ighalo at the club.
“On the one hand, Ighalo feels very good in Manchester with which it is very close to a salary agreement,” Salami told FootMercato.
“Negotiations with the Chinese are ongoing and are going well”.
Ighalo scored four goals in eight appearances for Manchester United in all competitions before the season was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
