The much-anticipated 50th Golden Jubilee Anniversary of Isonyin Grammar School (IGS) has come to a memorable close, with a spectacular Dinner and Award Night bringing the 2-day celebration to a colourful finale.

Held on Saturday, 22 August, 2026, at Rolak Hotel & Suites, the grand finale attracted distinguished personalities, old students, members of the Progressive Set and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate five decades of memories, friendship, achievements and enduring bonds forged through the institution.

The evening was characterised by glamour, music, laughter and nostalgia, as generations of former students reunited and reflected on their shared experiences while celebrating the remarkable journey of their alma mater.

Adding royal splendour to the occasion was His Royal Highness Oba Abdul Rasheed Omotayo Cossy Salami (Ilufemiloye I), Oba of Isonyin, Ijebu, who served as the Royal Father of the Day.

The monarch’s presence further enhanced the significance of the celebration, as guests and former classmates honoured not only the 50-year milestone of Isonyin Grammar School but also individuals whose dedication and leadership have contributed to the growth and sustainability of the association.

A major highlight of the evening was the presentation of awards to distinguished members in recognition of their leadership, commitment, sacrifices and contributions to the development of the association.

The Legacy and Presidential Awards took centre stage, celebrating pioneer members and former presidents who provided leadership at different periods and played significant roles in strengthening the association and fostering unity among members.
