Robo FC and Nigeria U20 female national team forward, Folashade Ijamilusi has predicted a bright future for female football in the country.
The rising star who is a product of Lagos based Springsoca academy, hinged her optimism on the rising pool of young talented players presently making their marks on the local scene, as well as those knocking on the doors of the senior national team.
Despite the not too impressive outing of the senior female team, the Super Falcons, at the FIFA World Cup in France, the Ekiti State-born highly rated youngster stressed that the team was not disgraced at the mundial.
Ijamilusi,18, while commending the organizers of the female football league, however, admonished the administrators of the game not to rest of their oars.
She was also quick to warn that other African countries are improving and moving their football forward, and are now challenging the dominance of Nigeria on the continent.
Speaking on her future in the game, she remarked that the target for now is to continue improving her game, adding that playing in the Super Falcons and also joining the professional ranks outside the country, are the ultimate target.
