Head Coach of Recovery House, Tony Agada has confessed that his intention was to beat Bucknor Football Club in their home in the ongoing Ikeja DFA Super League.
Recovery House snatched late equaliser to play 2-2 with home team, Bucknor in a league match watched by chairman Ikeja Divisional Football Association, Rafiu Alagbe and some board members.
The pulsating encounter held on Thursday at the Igando Community High School.
Agada while chatting with our correspondent said it was a good match but noted that his intention was to take three points from their opponents.
“We should have won the game because we were more dangerous and committed than our opponents.Despite the fact they were leading us, my boys were still playing.This is to show that we came to their home with the intention of winning but all the same we thanked God that it ended in draw,”,he said.
Bucknor coach, Lateef Idowu said it was a painful result because his boys did well unfortunately they did not take their chances.
“I am not happy with the draw because we wanted to win after playing away draw in our week one.This is just a beginning of the league and we need to work hard and win some matches that would make us to qualify for the super four at the end of the league,”he said.
In other week two results, FC Ramond Int’l played 1-1 with Awo Boiz, FC, Magboro walloped Crowned FA 4-0,Flexy Soccer Academy lost 1-3 to NAFRC
In other results,G. Innovation FC lost 0-1 to R2 Finesse as 89 Football Club also suffered 0-1 to Ace Mariners.
Action continues on Friday as Samjason Football Club welcome Alimcity at Egan Grammar School, Egan, Igando by 4:00pm, while Air Rovers Football Club host Futpro Sports Academy at Airforce Base, PWD, Ikeja by 4:30pm
