Ikeja LG Boss, Comrade Dauda Charges Beneficiaries Of AI Training To Lead Nigeria’s Digital Future

The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), attended the graduation ceremony of 100 youths who successfully completed a four-week Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Computer Vision training programme organised by the NECA ICT Academy in partnership with VFS Global.

Delivering a goodwill message at the ceremony, Comrade Dauda congratulated the graduates for their dedication and successful completion of the intensive training programme, describing their achievement as a significant milestone in preparing for the opportunities of the digital economy.

The Council Chairman noted that Artificial Intelligence has become one of the defining technologies of the 21st century and encouraged the graduates to make productive use of the knowledge acquired by embracing innovation, continuous learning, and responsible leadership.

He further urged the beneficiaries to see the training as the beginning of a lifelong journey of growth, excellence, and service, emphasizing that the future belongs to young people who possess relevant skills and are willing to adapt to the changing demands of the global economy.

Comrade Dauda commended the NECA ICT Academy and VFS Global for investing in youth development through digital skills acquisition, describing the initiative as a laudable example of how strategic partnerships can empower young people and create sustainable economic opportunities.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to youth empowerment, innovation, and human capital development through the I.K.E.J.A AGENDA, noting that Ikeja Local Government will continue to support initiatives that equip young people with future-ready skills and enhance their competitiveness in the global workforce.

The graduation ceremony celebrated the successful completion of the training by 100 participants, who received practical knowledge in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, and other emerging digital technologies, positioning them for careers in the rapidly evolving technology ecosystem.

Comrade Dauda wished the graduates continued success in their future endeavours and encouraged them to become worthy ambassadors of innovation, excellence, and national development.
