I’ll Make Visible Impact – Princess Elegbede APC Senatorial Aspirant

Princess Adesola Areago-Elegbede, MD/CEO, Macbel Groups of Companies, AT Sizzles Limited, and a senatorial aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has assured people in her senatorial district that she will make visible impact if elected to serve.

The businesswoman gave the assurance on Friday at the Onigbongbo Town Hall, Lagos State while addressing her supporters and campaign coordinators across the wards in her constituency.

Princess Elegbede who is aspiring to represent Lagos West Senatorial District at the Red Chambers advised party members at the event which was attended by the 28 LGA and 185 ward coordinators within the Lagos West Senatorial District to choose competence over gender while making electoral choices. She said that a lot of women were fond of creating the impression that they deserved to be pitied and given electoral support simply because they were women. She maintained that both men and women are equally endowed and should be elected based on competence and capacity.

At the event, Elegbede promised members of her constituency that she would make visible impact if elected as senator. She said that she was prepared to fight for the interest of indigent members of the senatorial district while promising not to be an Abuja only politician.

“The major reason I am in this race is because representation of Lagos West, presently, has not been efficient and I am prepared to change this. In 2 weeks I have visited all the 10 local governments and 18 LCDAs to express my intention to represent them in the senate” Princess said.

In a chat with P.M.EXPRESS, the Central Coordinator of Princess Adesola Areago Elegbede Campaign Organization, Alhaji Yisa Egbeyemi, expressed happiness that the All Progressives Congress, APC, National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, had endorsed direct primaries in order for party members to choose the best candidates to represent the party in the forthcoming general elections. He urged the leadership of the party to create a level playing field for all aspirants in the spirit of fairness.

Alhaji Egbeyemi equally hinted that Princess Elegbede hopes to enact laws that will ensure that pensioners do not suffer again. He said that it was absurd to see old people die while waiting for pensions and that the senatorial aspirant, Elegbede, plans to enact laws so that pensioners can be paid weekly as against the monthly situation where some individuals keep the money to yield interest in the banks. He said that Princess Elegbede is looking forward to enacting laws that will ensure the promotion of cottage industries and also promises to sponsor bills in order for traditional hospitals to be situated in all the Local Government Areas using technology to improve on what we have presently.

Princess Adesola Areago-Elegbede, who had been into social activism for a just and equitable society is a graduate of Law with other degrees in Public Policy and Administration, Management and Business and Security Management. She established Areago Memorial Technical Institute for the acquisition of technical education and skills in order to create manpower and promote self-reliance. Though born with a silver spoon, having been born to a notable industrialist, Chief Ajani Areago and married to a one-time Military Governor of Rivers State and Nigeria’s Chief of Naval Staff, the late Admiral M.A.B Elegbede, Princess Adesola’s passion revolves around work and diligence.

Princess Adesola is a workaholic and her passion for work is fuelled by her flair for perfection. To her, nothing brings more confidence and promotes self-esteem better than being perfectly acceptable in every standard. These virtues have blossomed into the establishment of successful companies with interests in, textile, hospitality, fast foods, education, bakery and beauty management, among others.

She is the Chief Executive Officer, McBel Group, a company dealing in importation/exportation of building materials and household goods. Under this group, exists McBel Security Services Limited, a security-consulting agency with affiliation in the United States of America, Europe, Middle East and Asia. Mabaka Designs is an African Textile Collection concept, transforming the making of Ankara, Adire and Batik, her hobby, into a money-making venture.

AT SIZZLES Limited is an indigenous company with interest in hospitality business, food processing, bakery and beauty care. She also founded Areago Memorial Technical Institute and Daycare, Nursery and Primary Schools.
