As the Senate embarked on its 8-week recess, Senator Solomon Adeola (APC, Lagos West), has promised to monitor the execution of his numerous facilitated constituency projects during the recess to ensure their faithful implementation to the letter by contractors based on fund released.

Disclosing this in a statement over the weekend to express joy at the completion of some of the projects in his largest Senatorial District in terms of population of over 12 million constituents, the Senator, who is the chairman of Senate Committee on Finance, stated that from pictorial evidences from constituents, work is ongoing on many of his facilitated projects with some already 100% completed stressing however, that he would want to see some of the projects execution himself with the opportunity provided by the recess.

“I want to express joy that in spite of the COVID-19 pandemic that is currently ravaging the world economy, we are still able to make significant changes for the benefit of our people. My constituents called my attention to the completion of some constituency projects in Lagos West that I facilitated and I told them more will come before the year runs out. With the size of my constituency and its numerous development challenges, one will try to ensure that whatever is its due is implemented based on availability of funds” he stated.

The Senator said some of the projects completed for which constituents sent him photographs included Solar Powered Street lights in Ajeromi-Ifelodun LGA located at Ishaga Onisapa Apasa Adejiyan Extension and Baale Street-Ajegunle Boundary Bus Stop as well as Polaris Bank- Alakija Street in Second Avenue Festac Town, Amuwo Odofin LGA adding that all the ten LGAs in his Senatorial District will benefit in one or more of his solar powered electrification and solar powered boreholes projects as well as 500KVA Transformers to be implemented this year among his facilitated constituency projects.

The Senator said he gathered that most of the contractors have mobilized to site and work will commence within the week at Badagry, Ifako-Ijaiye, Agege, Ikeja, Mushin, Ojo, Alimosho and Oshodi- Isolo stressing that apart from some Committee works in Abuja during the recess, he would ensure the implementation of his constituency projects in fulfilment of his campaign promises.
