Everyone in Anambra today and indeed Nigeria, knows that Gov. Soludo has superintended over the most active State Executive Council ever in the history of Anambra. Key resolutions of the Anambra State Executive Council (ANSEC), whether they come as projects, programs or policies, are clearly and timely communicated by the Commissioner for information. This is a fact!
How a humongous project as big as an airport would be approved and only reported through a mere Information Officer attached to an agency after she embarked on a field trip to the Anambra Mixed-Use Industrial City (AMIC), and not by the Commissioner or Press Secretary to the Governor, should have jolted an erstwhile Managing Director of a State owned broadcast agency. But, to spark sensation and farm impressions Vanguard, Uche Nworah and even the ABS all reported what has turned out to be mere rumour and speculation.
This is sad! Much as Soludo is a big Visioner and even bigger executioner who is not afraid to sail in uncharted waters, he is a thoroughbred Economist who understands how to manage and distribute scarce resources.
As part of the documentation of Soludo’s three (3) years anniversary in office, the government produced and distributed a brochure showcasing some of its key accomplishments. The last three pages of that brochure captured what was termed “The Next Steps: The Road Ahead” — these are futuristic projects the government plans to undertake, not necessarily approved projects. I have uploaded this parts of the brochure as more evidence to advance the argument that those who announced the imaginary airport were blatantly wrong and only misled the unsuspecting public. Read through them and show us if there is anywhere you find the building of a new airport as a stand-alone project to be undertaken immediately. Anyway, this is the political season where any and everything would make news. Even the very gross and unthinkable stuffs.
Ever since my Oga Uche Nworah decided to up his content creation game mixed with some those of chameleonic politicking (as he is APC, ADC and LP all at once), it has become very difficult for him to assume higher grounds in matters that touch his vested interest.
Like I said earlier this week — Trust but verify! This includes the information you spread.
