The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has restated its avowed commitment to respect and obey Orders and Judgments of Courts in Nigeria.
The Commission made its position known when it rose from its weekly Management meeting held on Tuesday, the 23rd of July, 2023.
A source, who pleaded anonymity, stated that the Commission acknowledged receipt of the Order made by a Federal High Court, Abuja Division, which restrained INEC from taking any further actions or steps in respect of the APGA Leadership tussle. The Commission pledged to obey the said Order of Court regarding the matter in Court pending the hearing and determination of the Suit filed by APGA against INEC.
This development comes against the backdrop of the Suit instituted by APGA challenging the flawed recognition of one Edozie Njoku as the National Chairman of APGA.
