In a bold step to support Nigeria’s thriving but often underserved small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), Innova Hive Integrated is leading the charge with its SME Scale-Up Sessions — a transformative, free initiative helping entrepreneurs tackle growth challenges through practical innovation.

Held monthly, the most recent session scheduled for May 16th, 2025 is set to bring together over 20 business owners, startup founders, and SME leaders for a 3-hour workshop designed to unlock the secrets of sustainable growth in turbulent economic times.

The Scale-Up Sessions are not motivational talk shops. Instead, they are practical, interactive forums where entrepreneurs gain access to actionable tools, growth frameworks, and hands-on strategies to improve decision-making, operational effectiveness, and innovation culture within their businesses.

In a statement signed by the Co-founder & CEO, Innova Hive Integrated, Stanley Obi “Our mission is to ensure that SMEs no longer struggle in silos,” adding that “We’ve created a space where founders walk away not only inspired, but equipped.”

Topics at the forefront of the upcoming session include: the framework for smarter growth -a practical model to drive innovation, avoiding Common Growth Traps that Stall Most SMEs, practical tools to dive into immediate execution and infusing sustainability principles into everyday operations

Obi stated that participants also benefit from post-session resources, access to planning tools, and optional exposure to Innova Hive’s Innovation as a Service (IAAS) platform — a proprietary support solution offering SMEs personalized innovation consulting and market insights.

Speaking on the bigger picture- impact and potential, he said, “Since launching earlier this year, the SME Scale-Up program has already started yielding results. One participant, Teni’s Table, a catering business based in Lagos, Nigeria, reported a 120% increase in structured sales growth within just three months of applying insights from the sessions and leveraging IAAS.”

As economic pressures mount, Obi said, programs like these have become essential lifelines for SMEs navigating fluctuating markets and scaling operations sustainably.

“With SMEs contributing over 48% of Nigeria’s GDP and accounting for more than 84% of employment, empowering them is not just good for business — it’s vital for national development,” CEO, Innova Hive concluded.
