Honourable Segun Odunmbaku, the Executive Chairman of Ojodu Local Council Development Area, Lagos State, has urged members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, not to give up on the administration of President Bola Tinubu in the face of insecurity in the country.

While addressing party members in Ward E as part of ongoing party meeting across six wards in the council, Odunmbaku acknowledged that the country is facing security challenges but assured them that President Bola Tinubu is taking all measures to solve it inspite of the fact that the he met the challenges on ground before he assumed office

He urged them not to give up on Tinubu’s administration by voting for the party in the 2027 presidential election noting that the government has their interest at heart.

“We just finished our party primaries but the biggest election is coming next year which is the presidential election. We all know we are going through difficult times like insecurity which is a serious one. Some people are blaming President Bola Tinubu for it and accusing him of doing nothing to stop it.”

“I want to let you know that the President has put in place machineries to address this issue. He is working on creating a State Police. He has also improved the welfare of the Police and the soldiers. The American government is also assisting the Nigerian government to fight the insecurity.”

“I want to assure you that the government is there for you, so don’t give up. Vote for the party in the next year’s election,” Odunmbaku urged.

As part of measures to ensure safety within the council, Odunmbaku also met with security agencies in his office including the Police, the DSS, the Civil Defence Corps and the legionnaires.

He charged them on professionalism, urging them to assist the government in fighting the menace of drug abuse, cultism and other vices within the community development Area (CDA)

As part of efforts to strengthen security within Ojodu LCDA, the Chairman also held a strategic meeting with representatives of various security agencies, including the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and the Nigerian Legion.

He charged the security agencies to maintain professionalism and intensify efforts in combating criminal activities, particularly drug abuse, cultism, and other social vices affecting the community.

Odunmbaku reaffirmed the commitment of his administration to supporting security agencies and ensuring the safety of residents across the council area.
