MY MESSAGE TO THE YOUTH ON THE ANNIVERSARY OF 2020 INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY (HON OLAKANLE).

It gives me great pleasure to celebrate this auspicious occasion of the year 2020 ‘International Youth Day’.
This year 2020  ‘International Youth Day’  THEME: ‘Youth Engagement For Global Action’  gives a critical picture of what the world perceives about the stake of young people globally.

I call on the general public, particularly parents, teachers, community leaders, religious leaders, politicians, governments e.t.c not to shy away from the responsibilities of their wards by inculcating in them good moral and social behaviour because the survival of community rests largely on the shoulders of the youths ,as vigours is required to wear out this plague.

May I use this opportunity to commend and appreciate the support and understanding of our strong and reliable youths of Onigbongbo LCDA during the #ENDSARS protests while I symphatize with the family of those that lost their lives in the struggle.

I must therefore at this juncture remind our teeming youth including my good self of challenges ahead as leaders of today and tomorrow to maintain the ethics of patriotism, discipline, honesty, hard work, self reliance, peaceful coexistence, tolerance and shun all anti social behaviour and criminal acts.
Only then can we have Nigeria of our dream.

Signed:

Hon Oladotun Olakanle,Executive Chairman,Onigbongbo LCDA.
