The wife of Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Mrs. Abimbola Odunmbaku, has encouraged women to find their paths in life and surmount teaming challenges and biases in our society.
Mrs. Odunmbaku made this call at the celebration of the year 2022 International Women’s Day held at Onikan Stadium in Lagos.
The annual event, which is always held on March 8 had in attendance, eminent women in Ojodu LCDA such as Chief (Mrs) Folashade Salako (Iyaloja General of Ojodu), Mrs. Olufunke Akinwale (Odunmbaku Women Leader and one of the awardees), Mrs. Adeniyi (President NCWS), Mrs Awowole (WOWICAN President Ojodu), Bukola Badmus (Women Leader), Mrs (Dr) Olushola ogunleye (Women Leader) and Mrs Aguntosholo (Women Leader), who joined other personalities to celebrate the year’s edition tagged ‘#BreaktheBias’.
The crux of the celebration was to draw attention to the gender biases and disparities that exist in society, particularly against women.
Also in the spirit of celebrating women, social media was awash with selfies of users who crossed their arms to strike an “x” pose to show solidarity with the theme of International Women’s Day 2022.
