An Islamic cleric, Alfa Mustapha Hammed, has been arrested in Lagos after he allegedly gave a 29-year old lady false prophecy, stripped and engaged her in a sex romp for deliverance.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened in Ikorodu area of Lagos but the suspect resided in the Bariga area where the victim also resided with her parents.

The 23-year old Oyo State-born Hammed claimed that he did Islamic Studies at the Daru Islamic school, Isolo, Lagos, where he graduated. He said he thereafter started seeing visions and assisting people who needed spiritual assistance.

The suspect said that he knew the victim having grown up with her in the same area, been trying to have sex with her and probably marry her but it was difficult for him before he planned his action.

He was said to have taken the victim to his house after inviting her and telling her he had a vision that she will die with 24 hours because she had a spiritual husband that wanted her back in the spirit world. The victim became jittery; asked him what can be done to avert the death and he asked her to come to his house for deliverance. The victim accepted and followed him to Ikorodu area where he stripped her naked and started the so called deliverance prayer.

However, during the deliverance which involved bathing with water, live frog and other undisclosed substances, Hammed said that he saw another vision. He asked her to call her boy friend to have sex with her so that she will be completely delivered from the evil spirit. The victim told him that she had a boy friend but she cannot bring him to the place. It was then that Alfa Hammed decided to help out and engaged the victim in a sex romp and eventually deflowered her in the process.

It was gathered that when she started bleeding from her private part, the suspect brought out a white handkerchief and cleaned the blood from her private part for undisclosed purposes. He thereafter allowed her to go but since then the victim had not regained herself.

This was confirmed by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Imohimi Edgal, who paraded the suspect at the State Command, Lagos. The police boss said that on 12th July, 2018, a case of sexual assault from the Bariga police station was reported and transferred to the Gender Section of the Command for further investigations. He said that the suspect who claimed to be an Alfa was introduced to the victim through a mutual friend. Then the Alfa deceived the 29-year old student of College of Education, Akoka, Yaba, Lagos, that he saw a vision that she was going to die within 24 hours and said that she needed cleansing so that she will not die. He then took her to Ikorodu area of Lagos where he forcefully had carnal knowledge of the victim who was still a virgin as at then and wiped off her blood with handkerchief and since then she had not regained herself.

CP Edgal said that after the incident, the victim began to behave abnormally because she was completely devastated and traumatized by the incident. He assured that the suspect will definitely be charged to court at the conclusion of investigations.
