MAZI EJIMOFOR OPARA
Yesterday, the 8th of May, 2021, was a solemn moment for the people of Isuofia, who gathered at the Isuofia Civic Centre – same venue where some gunmen attacked and killed 3 Police officers attached to Prof. Chukwuma Soludo on the 31st of March, 2021 – to offer special Thanksgiving to God Almighty in line with the biblical injunction of 1st Thessalonians 5:18 – “in all things give thanks to God”…
The prayer sessions, led by members of the Clergy, was followed by traditional purification of the land desecrated by the innocent blood of security operatives, who were killed in the service of their fatherland. This was conducted by the Igwe of Isuofia, HRM Col. C.A.O. Muoghalu (Rtd.) and members of his cabinet.
Soludo was on ground to join his people in thanksgiving. He expressed appreciation to God Almighty that the plot of the wicked was nipped in the bud, particularly as it concerned the life of thousands of Isuofia youths, who were with him on that day when the gory incident took place.
He further thanked God for sparing the life of Engr. Emeka Ezenwanne, who was abducted on that same day, and was made to spend 4 tortuous nights in the den of his captors.
The respected global Economist announced that a Trust fund had been set up by him and a few of his friends to help raise money for the family of the slain Police officers. Soludo prayed God to grant eternal rest to their souls and bring their killers to justice and repentance.
