The Presidency has reacted to Tuesday’s call by the Nigerian Senate asking the Service Chief to ‘step aside’ to enable a new set with new ideas tackle insecurity across the country.
In a tweet by Mr. Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to the President on Media, he stated that “President Buhari notes the resolution of the Senate asking Service Chiefs to resign or be sacked.
“The Presidency reiterates that appointment or sack of Service Chiefs is a Presidential prerogative, and the Commander-in-Chief will do the best for the country at all times.
