I’ve Nothing Against Tony Nwoye!

In 2017, I supported him after my candidate lost out in the APC primaries. So, this one is not borne out of hate or any such thing. During our campaigns, it was general knowledge that every bit of his campaign was bank rolled by Prince Engr. Arthur Eze (Ozoigbondu). The man did not only put in huge cash running into billions of Naira, he put in effort in support of a Tony Nwoye, and the young Tony came a close 2nd in that election. In street parlance we would say, “this one no be beans”, meaning it is not a mean feat.

For me and my home training, I don’t think there is any reason under the Sun for a Tony Nwoye to refer to Prince Engr. Arthur Eze in condescending language — “one man from Ukpo, one Prince from Ukpo”. E no good.

It is easy to gain applause leveraging the popular, just like Tony did mentioning the name of Peter Obi in an occasion where nothing of such was needed nor elicited, whilst covering his reprehensible gaffe.

I don’t care how you see this, but Tony deserves to apologize to Prince Engr. Arthur Eze openly, and must stop making things difficult for young people who desire such destiny helpers!
