A 47-year old acclaimed prophet, Emmanuel David, of the Apostolic Faith Church, Taiwo Bus Stop in Ejigbo area of Lagos, has confessed that he had been sleeping with prostitutes in different hotels for the past six years in order to deceive his members that he was not committing adultery.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that Prophet David made the confession after he was arrested for trapping a lady, ruining her life through false prophecies and impregnating her.

David, who is from Eket in Akwa Ibom State, said that his wife had two children before she died six years ago and he found it difficult to get another wife and equally abstain from sex. He then devised means to satisfy his sexual desire by sneaking into hotels to patronize harlots to avoid being caught with the female members of his church.
He confessed to have continued his life that way until he met a lady at Ago Okota. He was said to have used false prophecy to capture, instill fear in her and took her in without the knowledge of her family and his church members for about two years. Within this period, he got her pregnant.
The Police at Ejigbo Division led by the DPO, CSP Olabisi Okuwobi, arrested David after the victim regained her senses, went back to her sister heavily pregnant and told her sister what happened to her.
Thus, the matter was reported to the police at Ejigbo Division and David was detained at the station for interrogation.
During interrogation, the victim narrated how her life was ruined as David impregnated her.

“I am a 300-level undergraduate. During the holidays, I told my sister that I will have to look for work to raise some money before school resumed. I got a job at Ago where David met me and gave me a prophecy that my family was in serious trouble and needed prayers and deliverance. That’s all I can remember and I followed him to where he lives and he impregnated me within that period” she said.

David admitted before the police that he actually trapped her with false prophecy and all the things he had told her will happen to her family were false.
The police found him culpable and charged him before Ejigbo Magistrates Court for abducting and detaining the victim for the purpose of engaging her in unlawful sexual intercourse.
He pleaded guilty.

The prosecutor, Supol Kenneth Asibor, presented the facts before the Court and asked that he be sentenced accordingly to serve as deterrent to those who might want to commit such offence.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mr. T.O. Shomade, found him guilty as charged and sentence him to six months imprisonment with an option of N50,000 fine.
