A jealous 18-year old Temitope Olamoru, has been remanded in custody without an option of bail over attempted murder of her rival, Iremide Olawale, by using a razor blade to inflict injury and disfiguring her face during a fight in Lagos State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened on the 12th day of March, 2025, at about 10:50pm at Faiusi Street, Ajegunle Alakuko area of Lagos.
According to the Police, the suspect had a disagreement with the victim, who was her rival in the area, over an undisclosed matter. In the process, she brought out a razor blade and used it to cut her face, neck and hand, which caused the victim serious injury and she was rushed to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.
The matter was reported to the Police at Alakuko Division. The suspect was arrested and detained at the station for interrogation over her alleged conduct against the victim.
After rounds of interrogation, the Police found her culpable and charged before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The charges read:
COUNT I: “That you, Temitope Olamoru on the 12th day of March, 2025 at about 10:50pm, at No. 24ª Faiusi Street Ajegunle Alakuko area of Lagos, in the Ikeja Magisterial District, did unlawfully attempt to commit murder on IREMIDE OLAWALE ‘F’ and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 230(b) of the Criminal laws of Lagos State 2015.”
