Jealous Lady Stabs Lover With Scissors During Squabble Over Infidelity

Police operatives from the Ondo State Command have confirmed the death of a 25-year old man, Micheal Ikuedowoni, who was stabbed by his lover, Miss Augustina Mowari, over suspicion of infidelity. 

 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened in Okitipupa Local Government area of Ondo State.

 

The lovers were said to be living together in a single room, where it was also said that they always engage in persistent dispute over trust and suspected infidelity before the incident happened, which led to the death of the deceased.

 

This was confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer in the State, DSP Olayinka Ayanlade, who disclosed that the suspect has been arrested and in Police custody undergoing interrogation over the alleged murder.

According to their neighbours, there has been misunderstandings between the lovers, which later escalated into violent altercation. The lady had accused Michael of cheating on her with another lady, which led to a heated argument. In the course of the fight, she brought out a pair of scissors and stabbed him on the leg.

According to the PPRO, the suspect stabbed the deceased and he was initially taken to a nearby hospital, where he received treatment and was discharged after being administered with injections and prescribed medication.

However, after he was discharged, his condition deteriorated at home. His leg became swollen and he was rushed back to the hospital on Sunday night.

Unfortunately, he passed away despite the doctors’ efforts to save him.

The matter was reported to the Police. The suspect was arrested and detained in custody undergoing interrogation over her alleged conduct.

The PPRO said, “There was an argument between the two, which led to the suspect stabbing the victim with scissors. He later died in the hospital”.

“The suspect is in our custody, and the case will be charged to the court after investigations are concluded.”

 

The suspect may likely be charged for murder under the Criminal laws of the State which attracts several years of imprisonment or life imprisonment.
