Jealous Man Cuts Off Lover’s Hand Over Suspected Infidelity

The Police have given details how a middle aged man, Chibisi Irem, allegedly cut off the hand of his girlfriend, Chinyere, for allegedly dating another man.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened on Tuesday at Ishieke Community, in Ebonyi State, where the lovers run a restaurant.

It was gathered that the man, Irem, had severally warned his lover, Chinyere, of her alleged infidelity with another man in the area and asked her to desist from dating the man to no avail.

The victim, Chinyere, was said to have ignored him because Irem has not engaged her in marriage and so she continued dealing with the man in question.

However, trouble broke out between Chinyere and Irem on Tuesday morning and he allegedly attacked her while they were in their restaurant serving customers.

Irem was said to have used a cutlass on her and ended up chopping off Chinyere’s hand and fled.

She was rushed to an undisclosed hospital, where the doctors are battling to save her life because she was said to have lost some blood due to heavy bleeding occasioned by cut.

This was disclosed by the Ebonyi State Command Police Public Relations Officer, Ms. Loveth Odah.

The Police spokesperson stated: “Police in Ebonyi State are on the trail of a young man, whose name was given as Chibisi Irem, who allegedly attacked his girlfriend with a machete at Ishieke Community”.

“The incident occurred following a misunderstanding between the two lovers at a joint being managed by them. The girl suffered cuts on her upper arm as a result of the machete attack. The victim has been rushed to a hospital for medical attention.”
