Jealous Mother of 2 Stabs Husband To Death

A mother of 2 kids, Mrs. Olamide Akinbola has opened up and confessed that she actually used a kitchen knife to stab her husband, Mr. Dare, to death in their home at Igbogbo in Ikorodu area of Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that it was the outcome of investigations by the police at SCIID Panti, Yaba, over the death of late Dare.

The incident happened at their home over suspicion of infidelity and mistrust between the couple especially on the side of the deceased. Police source told our correspondent that trouble started after the late Dare came back late from work. The wife accused him that he might have came late because he was with his mistress. It was learnt that it led to a serious disagreement and later degenerated into a fight between them. In the process, the deceased was said to have hit her very hard, she then took a kitchen knife and stabbed him on the neck.

Mr. Dare bled profusely and fell down in the pool of his blood. She then started shouting and raised alarm which attracted their neigbours who rushed him to an undisclosed hospital.

However, before Dare was rushed to a hospital, he was already dead and doctors merely certified him dead. The corpse was deposited at the mortuary for autopsy report.

The matter was reported to the police at Igbogbo police station and Mrs. Olamide was arrested and detained at the police station for murder. She was later transferred to SCIID for further investigations where she then revealed what happened.

This was confirmed by the Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Chike Oti who described it as another case of fatal domestic violence. He said that the police were still investigating and the suspect will soon be charged to court for murder.

It was gathered that the suspect said she had no intention to kill her husband; that she stabbed him in self defence and did not know when she did it. She insisted that she loved her husband and that her husband loved her before the incident happened.

This happened barely few weeks after a female lawyer stabbed her husband with kitchen knife and sliced his private part over infidelity in Lagos.
