Jilted Lady, Jemila Arrested For Setting Ex-Lover’s House & Girlfriend Ablaze

A 19-years old jilted Jemila Ibrahim of Monkey Village, FESTAC, Lagos, has been arrested by the State Police for setting her former lover’s girlfriend ablaze.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Monkey Village, FESTAC area of Lagos, where the late victim, Rabi, visited the man in question, Mohammed Yusuf.

Miss Jemila was arrested alongside her friend, Fatima Mohammed, 21, for the heinous act. 

The Police alleged that Jemila and Fatima on Wednesday, 18th November, 2020, set the house of her ex-lover, Mohammed Yusuf, on fire.
They were said to have poured petrol and set the room ablaze while the late Ravi was inside.When Mohammed got hint of the incident, he rushed to the house where he met it on fire. But he managed to rescue Rabi from the fire and took her to the hospital. Unfortunately, she gave up the ghost on Saturday, 21st November, 2020, due to injuries she sustained during the incident.

The Police said that Mohammed Yusuf had quit his relationship with the suspect, Jemila, on the ground of infidelity and thereafter Mohammed met Rabi, who lost her life to the unfortunate incident.That did not go down well with Jemila, who then arranged and the set Yusuf’s apartment ablaze and eventually killed Rabi in the process.

When the information got to the the Police, Jemila and her friend, Fatima, were arrested by the Police operatives attached to Satellite Division of the Lagos State Command.

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu, who condemned the wicked act, has ordered that the matter be transferred to the State CID, Panti, for discrete investigation. The CP also vowed to go after those who engage in crimes and social vices in order to rid the State of criminals.

The Police boss, however, encouraged Lagosians to avoid taking laws into their hands. He noted that jungle justice will only truncate the administration of justice and such could be counterproductive.
